DSG Mechatronics
The mechatronic is the so-called “brain” of the DSG gearbox. Based on an electronically controlled hydraulic system the mechatronic ensures that the gearbox can work completely automated: clutch engagement, shifting and clutch disengagement. However, problems like a blinking switch indicator (“PRNDS”) or a lit “service key” on your display and various fault codes may indicate a defective DSG mechatronic.
TVS Engineering / DSG Dokter has a stock of more than 100 mechatronics. Due to our advanced knowledge of DSG software it possible to exchange different models and software with each other. As a result TVS Engineering / DSG Dokter is able to supply a mechatronic for every DSG equipped VAG vehicle.
Overhauled mechatronics
TVS overhauled mechatronics are completely new built mechatronics on which all defective and wear sensitive parts have been replaced. All mechatronics are built with the best materials and are fully upgraded to the latest factory specifications. Partly due to the perfect cleaning of both the in- and outside of the mechatronic, they can hardly be distinguished from new ones. No partial repairs are carried out, only completely newly built units!
After overhaul every mechatronic is fully checked on our own developed DSG test machine to guarantee correct operation in all circumstances. All TVS overhaul mechatronics are supplied from stock so that, despite the labor intensive overhaul process, fast turnaround times can be guaranteed. Finally, TVS offers attractive discounts on our software packages in combination with a mechatronic repair.
DSG Clutches
Problems such as vibrations, clutch slip, noises or strange gearshifts can indicate a worn or defective DSG clutch. Mainly the DQ200 dry clutch DSG is struggling with excessive clutch wear from factory. This is caused by the “dry clutch” principle and factory software that is mainly focused on fuel consumption and emissions.
TVS Engineering / DSG Dokter offers sustainable software solutions for increased clutch lifespan. In addition, the workshop is capable of replacing your DSG clutch according to dealer instructions.
