DSG oil change

DSG oil change is necessary for all “wet clutch” VAG DSG models every 60.000 kilometers according to the manufacturer’s instructions. For high mileage vehicles a DSG oil change can also be of added value for the “dry clutch” DQ200 and is often combined with extended diagnostics and/or repairs at DSG Dokter – the Netherlands.

During a DSG oil change the oil filter will be replaced as well, after which the old DSG oil and filter are optically inspected for characteristics of (excessive) wear. A DSG oil change does not immediately solve DSG and shifting issues, but considerably reduces the chance of consequential damage and unnecessarily high costs. Therefore, never pass the maintenance interval of a DSG oil change to reduce the chance of expensive DSG repairs!
